Arvillard

About us

The Arvillard forest covers more than 1800 ha, the climb to Val Pelouse will immerse you in an almost mystical atmosphere as nature is present (green colors, smells of fir trees), all your senses will be solicited by this hike.

Attention forestry work in progress in August 2023 on a section of path between coast 1250 to 1470. A diversion has been put in place, for your safety please respect the temporary signage that bypasses the site.

The climb to Val lawn is not easy but the ascent will be without technical difficulty, the different atmospheres that you will cross will punctuate your effort. A stop at the chalets of the big mountain, the ascent of the old alpine ski slopes, the cuts and logs of wood, as well as the road which crisscrosses this forest, will ask you about the human activities of this part of the mountain...not so wild as that.

Finally the arrival in the Alpages de Val Pelouse At 1750 M will offer you an unobstructed view of the surrounding mountains, and will undoubtedly invite you to repeat this ascent come winter.

This climb leaves the choice to hikers to choose their pace, energizing walk for the contemplative, or sporty ascent for the trail runners, who will come to discover this vertical kilometer and will continue on the ridges.
