About us
Walking from one pass to another, discover the Massif des Bauges, its mountain pastures and its most beautiful peaks, thanks to a route that unfolds peacefully in the shade of the trees of the Bois des Pères.
At the start, the path climbs steadily in the refreshing shade of spruces and “fayards”, the name the Savoyards give to their beech trees.
The clearing called Pré Ballet offers you a first gap of light, then you return to the forest on a wide forest track. When you arrive at l'Epion mountain pasture and its chalets, raise your eyes to the huge Arclusaz cliffs towering over you.
On this meadow the landscape opens wide: the valley stands out below, while the peaks of the Bauges are discovered.
The Col du Potat is a few hundred meters away. Once you have crossed them, you will be able to enjoy a splendid panorama over the Combe de Savoie and Belledonne, and over the Bauges seen from the interior with the Trélod and the Arcalod.
You can stop there and retrace your steps. But if you feel like it, continue your journey towards Arclusaz which dominates you from all its height and calls you towards its summit!
