A large carpet in the center of the stage transports you into an interior from the 50s. Hanging, suspended, scattered on indoor floor lamps equipped with lampshades of all sizes and colors, around thirty instruments of music play with the 6 twirling musicians of DEBOUT SUR LE ZINC: trumpinet, violin, double bass, saxophone, banjo, guitar, flute, triangle, drums... They are there and give the show the musical diversity that Boris Vian would have liked.
Through his well-known songs (Le Déserteur, J'suis snob…) and his lesser-known and unpublished songs (I'm dreaming, Don't you marry girls), DEBOUT SUR LE ZINC reveals how Boris Vian's songs impact our times and our ear today.
DEBOUT SUR LE ZINC, these are 6 musicians who have been setting the French scene on fire for 25 years, borrowing their melodies from rock, folk and gypsy rhythms for songs and arrangements that are always as original and which highlight French song.
