Cruet offers the appearance of a grouped village, tightened along the old Roman road where many castles and fortified houses of yesteryear are scattered on both sides.
The Roman road that crosses the town from West to East and its castles: Le Colombier, Beauséjor, Paravy, Le Chaffard, Le Chaney, Verdun-Dessus and Verdun-Dessous.
