About Us
I do ceramic sculpture. I have two very opposite styles, I can both model funny animals or sculpt dark faces. I specialized in Raku cooking (fire), each oven is a surprise!
After modeling my sculptures, I let them dry for several days or a few weeks. I sand them, cook them in an electric ceramic oven at low temperature (980°C). I apply the enamel, then I cook them again in a gas oven (raku).
I open the oven at 980°C, to do a thermal shock, and make pretty cracks in the enamel. I take my sculptures with pliers, then I put them in iron bins, filled with sawdust, beautiful shiny and coppery colors appear.
