About us
Visit to the Château de Miolans and educational workshops on the theme of the Middle Ages
The activity begins with a short visit to the Château de Miolans, the most representative medieval fortress in the Northern Alps, which hides behind its high walls a garden with a beautiful collection of ancient plants.
The class is then split into two groups to participate in the workshops. One accompanies the guide in one of the rooms of the dungeon to build the giant model of the castle, while the witch enchants the second group in the garden with the preparation of some magic potions.
Then the groups swap in a third time.
The workshops are part of the National Education programs:
- The history of the Middle Ages: the power of the lord, who organizes his territory and ensures its security but enslaves the peasants.
- The history of the arts: architecture, gardens, by studying military and civil buildings and sites.
