The great Escape

Created in 2013, the Échappée Belle is a crossing through the Belledonne massif. It has become, over the years, one of the mythical Ultra Trails of the circuit.

With a distance of 152km and an elevation gain of 11 meters, this race quickly established itself in the world of ultra trail running, both for the beauty of its landscapes and for its technicality. 400 km of this route cross the Heart of Savoie through the towns of Arvillard, Presle, la Table, le Verneil, le Bourget-en-Huïle and le Pontet. If you want to encourage the runners, day or night, go and meet them at the refreshment points in Val Pelouse and Bourget-en-Huïle. Different activities will await you to enjoy this festive event.

More than a physical challenge, the Échappée Belle is an immersive experience in the wilderness with steep trails, vertiginous passes and high altitude lakes. The crossing record is held by François d'Haene in 23h55min11s, do you think you can beat him?

For those who do not wish to embark on the full crossing, other race formats are organized:

- The Northern Crossing: 92 km / 6800m D+:

du Pleynet/Les 7 Laux in Aiguebelle, for runners thirsty for wild and little-traveled trails. This ultra allows you to discover the northern part during the day and its famous Col Moretan (1500m D+ and 1500m D-)!

- The Crêtes route: 63km / 4700m D+:

From Allevard to Aiguebelle. A very demanding route passing through the wild trails of Belledonne on the Maurienne side with the highest point being Pointe Rognier. The time barriers will remain more accessible than for the other two events in order to allow a greater number of people to experience this adventure.

- New for 2024: A 42% Savoyard Maratrail format (2790km, 100m D+) departing from Valgelon-La Rochette with a direct climb to Val Pelouse to reach the end of the Integral route and the Northern Traverse. No time barrier.

- The White Rock Skyrace 21km and 2m elevation gain.
