Flight conditions: favorable conditions with winds from the slope, take-off often well supplied.
Dangers and difficulties: possibility of a strong breeze in the Vallée des Huiles High Voltage line on the crest of the Pic de l'Huile.
Access: Go up the Vallée des Huiles from La Rochette to the Col du Cucheron. Take the 1st right (500m) and park near the chalet de la jasse (1550m). (possible access by St Alban des Hurtières). Walk to Col du Champet, then follow the magnificent Mollards ridge path heading south to Grand Chat. Superb 360° view of La Lauzière, Les Bauges, La Chartreuse. 450 m of elevation gain, about 1 hour of walking.
