About us
Located in Combe de Savoie, on the foothills of the Massif des Bauges, the Vendange estate extends over an area of 10 hectares on south-facing hillsides where the Savoyard grape varieties, Jacquère, Altesse, Mondeuse express all their typicality.
Our vines are located on glacial moraine soils: 15000 years ago, the valley was a large glacier! These are young soils!
Despite this, we find a very great variability of terroir in our plots located in Miolanet: limestone, scree, clay-silty soils.
The climate, as well as a southern exposure, the vines on the hillsides contribute to a beautiful expression of the terroir and to the obtaining of an optimal maturity of the grapes.
The Vendange family has been cultivating vines for many years, but it was under the impetus of Benjamin and his partner Diane that the step was taken to vinify their own production.
Our vines are cultivated in a reasoned way with respect for the terroir and tradition. We favor many passages in green to be closer to our vineyard: pruning, disbudding, trellising, stripping and harvesting are done manually.
We have a recent cellar, with all thermo-regulated stainless steel vats which allows us to work in the best conditions.
The vinifications want to be the least intrusive so that
all the typicality of our terroir and native grape varieties.
We have also chosen to spend some of our cuvées in oak barrels, thus bringing greater complexity to our wines.
