About us
A stage which allows you to reach the Isère lands through a beautiful route from pass to pass offering remarkable panoramas on the foothills of the Grands Moulins, Lauzière and Mont Blanc.
From the refuge, go to the Col de la Frèche, then to the Col d'Arpingon. Follow the path to the Férices refuge. Descent to Pré Nouveau, cross the Bens using the new footbridge, then climb into the Vallon de Claran, Col de Claran to the Pierre du Carre refuge.
Stage :
The stage begins with the short ascent of the Frèche and Arpingon passes. The latter offers a remarkable panorama of the foothills of the Grands Moulins, Lauzière and Mont Blanc. Continuing the path, you will find the Férices refuge in a magnificent circus, a real mineral conch. The torrent Le Bens materializes the passage between Savoie and Isère. Long attached to the kingdom of Piedmont-Sardinia, the Savoys only joined France by referendum in 1860 and some engraved terminals (of the fleur-de-lys on one side, of the dolphin on the other) recall the history of these two departments. Then comes the Claran mountain pasture, a veritable blueberry nest, used for three generations by a family of transhumants and their 3 sheep.
Arrived at the refuge, Guylain will open its doors and take care of you.
