This year, the AOC (or AOP) Vin de Savoie and Roussette de Savoie are 50 years old!
For the occasion, the museum has chosen to honor the vineyard and its appellations by exhibiting labels of Savoy wines.
In 2013, on the occasion of their fortieth anniversary, the museum set out to retrace the birth and history of these appellations. Ten years later, in 2023, it is through the identity and aesthetic representations of wines and their territory that this celebration materializes.
It was the meeting with the passionate Philippe TEPPAZ that influenced this choice. This oenographer, or collector of wine labels, gave the museum team a great desire to unveil part of his collection while promoting the wines of Savoie in this exceptional year.
Nearly 500 labels from the 1910s to the 2020s - mainly those of Mr. TEPPAZ but also those of the Museum - will be on display. And with them, the visitor will be invited to take a trip through wine-growing Savoie and appreciate a century of technical and graphic development.
