About us
During this stage, you will pass the Col de la Vache with its faithful ibexes. Superb views of Oisans and the Écrins massif throughout the hike.
You cross the granite plateau of 7 Laux. The 7 Laux mountain pasture is a mineral and rocky mountain pasture.
Only sheep intended for meat production graze here. The climb to Col de la Vache is via a narrow valley.
From the pass, you can admire a splendid panorama of the eastern slope of Belledonne with the Taillefer and Grandes Rousses massifs, Grenoble and the Vercors massif to the west.
These scree are a refuge area for ibexes. Reintroduced in the 1980s on the Rissiou massif, they colonized the Belledonne chain to become one of the largest populations in the Alps.
Arriving at Pas de la Coche, you will have a magnificent view of the Ecrins glaciers. The Pas de la coche is the lowest point of the Belledonne summit ridge, it allows passage from the Grésivaudan valley to Oisans. In the past, it was used by peddlers, thus avoiding the long detour imposed by the Belledonne bypass.
The end of the stage will take you to Habert d'Aiguebelle with the summits of Chamechaude and Dent de Crolles in front of you.
