About us

Discover a valley from which the climbs of some of the best-known passes in the world start with this route going down the Maurienne valley and allowing you to come across some unexpected gems. Your adventurous efforts will be highly rewarded!

Hop on your cycle and set off to discover a little-known Maurienne region on a valley bottom route that has some surprises in store! From the start, it is this magnificent setting of high mountains with on your right the 17 bends of Montvernier, but also the imposing summit that is La Croix des Têtes, a tormented relief making you want to climb it. Look up, there are sometimes funny birds: “basejumpers” that jump from the top. Keep a sharp eye out! Then reach Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne, the historic capital of the valley, and admire its XNUMXth century Saint-Jean-Baptiste cathedral and its pretty cloister, listed as a Historic Monument. Gear up to pass La Chambre and take a break at the Saint-Remy-de-Maurienne leisure center. It is then due north to peacefully reach Aiguebelle, gateway to the Maurienne, not without having taken advantage of the Hurtières lake. Your arrival will be in Chamousset, in the heart of the Combe de Savoie.
All along the route, you will shiver as you come across the start of the climbs of legendary passes like the Galibier, the Télégraphe, the Iron Cross, the Glandon, the Madeleine, the Grand Cucheron which are world famous.
