Founded in 1991, Pain de Belledonne specializes in the manufacture of organic breads, biscuits, pastries, pastries and chocolates.
Pain de Belledonne was born in 1991, in the heart of Savoie, in a farmhouse, on the foothills of the massif of the same name: Belledonne.
This environment, in the heart of nature, was chosen in order to take advantage of the vitality of the place and good high-altitude spring water, favorable elements for the production of high quality sourdough bread.
25 years later, it is still the same value criteria that drive the company: the choice of 100% organic manufacturing, for authentic, handcrafted recipes.
Over the years, Pain de Belledonne has diversified and integrated three additional activities, around the bakery sector, namely: brioche, biscuit, and chocolate confectionery. All these activities are driven by common objectives: artisanal production around homemade recipes, the irresistibly gourmet side for healthy products of great taste quality.
At Belledonne, we are passionate about our professions, which is why we have chosen to preserve “the hand of man” in the making of our products. Every day, in our workshops, thousands of loaves are made by hand by our bakers. Our ingredients come from authentic processes: flour crushed with a stone mill, Guérande salt slowly crystallized and harvested manually... Our chocolates are also partly made by hand, in the pure chocolate tradition.
It is to this desire to maintain human know-how and traditional methods that we owe the unparalleled artisanal quality of our products.
We are continually developing our supplies through direct and local channels in partnership with producers in the region, with a view to relocating the economy and maintaining the rural fabric. The solidarity and fair economic relationship, throughout the supply chain, with our producer partners is a major challenge for a sustainable economic model which is materialized through the BIOPARTENAIRE approach. The label is awarded based on compliance with a reference system and is subject to an annual check.
