About us
Leader on the Savoie wine market for 70 years and labeled Savoie Mont Blanc Excellence, Maison Adrien Vacher pays particular attention to the satisfaction of its customers with a priority on the local, loyal and image-bearing market.
A passion for wine that has been passed down for 4 generations in the family of Adrien Vacher, founder of the company. He started the adventure in 1950 with mainly the sale of wine from barrels. Only 4 years after the creation of the company, Adrien Vacher dies leaving his daughter Josette and his son-in-law, Henri Gayet to take over the company which will keep his name.
Henri Gayet developed the Maison Vacher for more than 40 years with the sale then will be joined by his son, Charles-Henri GAYET in 1979 who will take over the management in 1989 with the desire to develop production even further upstream. It has been setting up solid partnerships with around sixty Savoyard winegrowers for more than 30 years for the purchase of grapes, must and finished wine. The objective is to control the complete process: pressing, selection of juices, vinification, bottling and distribution.
In parallel with this work of permanent optimization of the process and the quality of Savoie wines, Charles Henri Gayet took over the operation of the Domaine du Château de la Violette in 2000 and the Domaine Charles Gonnet in 2018 to work independently on 33 hectares on these vineyards.
His daughter, Pauline Lozano, joined the company in 2011 and continues the work started for almost 70 years. After graduating in agricultural engineering from ESA Purpan in Toulouse, she led a union of young farmers in Montpellier for 4 years before embarking on the family adventure.
The desire to promote and develop Savoie wines remains the priority with the consolidation of the clientele in place for all these generations and the development of new markets in the region, in France and even internationally. The priority remains to always bring the same care to the selection of juices to preserve a homogeneous quality and a signature of the wines on the freshness, the fruit and the minerality of the Savoyard terroir.
With 2.5 million bottles produced in the bottling center in Marche, Maison Adrien Vacher is one of the leaders on the Savoie wine market in almost all existing denominations. The resorts of the Alps are a showcase for Savoie wines, particularly for foreigners discovering wines that they then want to find at home. Export represents only 2% of volumes, in seventeen countries, in Northern Europe and the United States. Abroad, the reputation of Savoie wines is growing, but remains low compared to great French wines and Maison Vacher has always wanted to favor its local, loyal and image-bearing market. Being an actor in its territory and on its territory remains the priority of the family
