About us

  • Pet Friendly

In the heart of the Chartreuse Regional Natural Park, nestled in the Abymes vineyard, between Lake Saint-André and Mont-Granier, the Moulin de la Tourne, a reconstruction of a paper mill, perpetuates the artisanal production of paper cloth.

A jewel of cultural heritage and a conservatory of the ancient paper and printing trades, you can visit the Tourne paper mill and see the real “rag” paper formed before your eyes, sheet by sheet. the hand, as in the time of our ancestors.
Discovery of the operation of a traditional water mill with "camshaft" and mallet batteries; the History of paper, from its origins to its arrival in Savoy; of the different stages of its artisanal manufacturing but also of the evolution of engraving and printing press techniques.
An unforgettable visit for adults and of exceptional educational interest for students of all age groups.
