Too hot in the valley? So take the whole family to get some fresh mountain air on the Crêtes de Val Pelouse. From the Perrière refuge, the ridge path will offer you a magnificent panorama!
The road that winds and climbs to Val Pelouse takes you to the old ski resort, at 1700 meters above sea level. Getting out of the car, you are already in the middle of the mountain pastures!
Take the path that leaves in the shade of the fir trees in an atmosphere that smells good of the undergrowth. After having taken advantage of the freshness of the trees, you come out in full light, in the meadow covered with rhododendrons.
You then reach the unguarded refuge of La Perrière, a former alpine chalet restored in 2018. It is the wildest refuge of the GR738 "Haute Traversée de Belledonne", the route of which you cross here.
Take advantage of a short break to admire the Bens valley below, which was once the border between France and Savoy.
The path climbs a little steeper to the Col de Perrière. But the panorama of Mont-Blanc, Bauges, Chartreuse and Vercors will not disappoint you. And what luck, you will be able to enjoy it all along the magnificent return that runs along the ridges!
