GR®738 – High crossing of Belledonne

The GR738 or otherwise called "La Haute Traversée de Belledonne" is an essential route for lovers of nature and mountain roaming. Traveling the 150 km of this trail, in 11 stages, allows you to discover incredible landscapes, ranging from green valleys to snow-capped rocky peaks. To do this, simply follow the red and white markings of the GR.

Hikers will be able to encounter a rich and diversified wildlife, ranging from chamois to marmots and golden eagles. The Haute Traversée de Belledonne is also famous for being the course of the Ultra Trail de l'Échappée Belle, an epic race that attracts the most seasoned runners.

For the less adventurous, you can immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the Haute Traversée de Belledonne for a day by traversing the wealth circuit from the Village of Bourget-en-Huile, or that of Ridges of Val Pelouse, departing from Arvillard.
