73110 Arvillard

Add to carnet

This bridge has an extremely interesting history, connected to the history of the forges and the border. Its architecture and border marked made of decorated stone between the Savoie and France makes this place unmissable.

Le Pont du Diable crosses the river that separated France from the Savoie, and was used for blacksmithing along the Bens. 34m high and 30m long, it connects Arvillard to La Chapelle du Bard.
The bridge was repaired in 1848.
