About us
Created in 1999, the Terre solidaire association is based on two pillars: integration and market gardening. Member of the Cocagne Network, the association produces vegetables in organic farming in the Heart of Savoie.
Terre Solidaire is an integration work association located in Planaise (near Chambéry in Savoie). Its main activity is organic market gardening. Its mission is to promote the social and professional integration of people far from employment.
Approximately 5 ha of land (8% of which is under shelter) are cultivated in market gardening by back-to-work employees (25 to 30 gardeners depending on the time of year).
Vegetable production is sold in the form of weekly baskets to 220 members as well as stores, restaurants, communities (https://www.terre-solidaire-savoie.org/)
Terre Solidaire is involved in promoting autonomy and territorial food accessibility, particularly through the “we sow for life” project in partnership with the municipality of Montmélian. As well as the “Solidarity Baskets” project supported by the Cocagne gardens network of which it is a part (https://www.reseaucocagne.org/).
