• Massif des Bauges Regional Nature Park

Labeled a UNESCO Global Geopark since 2011, the Massif des Bauges Regional Natural Park overlooks the Coeur de Savoie territory and the Isère plain. The view of its emblematic peaks such as the Arclusaz or the Savoyarde allows the visitor to appreciate the geological particularities of this limestone massif. The foothills of the massif, famous throughout the world (due to the production of vines in the nurseries) but also of course due to the Savoyard vineyards which develop there, make it a favorable terroir for discovering AOP and typical Savoyard grape varieties (Mondeuse, Bergeron-Roussane...).

The vineyard path from Chignin to Fréterive allows you to discover this open landscape on the valley, and on the surrounding massifs while enjoying the typical villages that dot the hillsides. Time for a swim in Lake Carouge, or to discover the heritage (Château de Miolans, Museum of Vine and Wine, Tours de Chignin), walkers can discover a new facet of this pre-Alpine massif every day. Land of paragliding from the takeoff of Montlambert, the Massif des Bauges offers an ideal starting point for long distance flights.

Cyclists find a playground conducive to their practices whether on the cycle route (Belle Via), or to climb the passes of this massif (Marocaz, Frêne).

The territory is a real gateway to the Alpine valleys: Maurienne, Tarentaise, Beaufortain and even Italy. To learn more
